This knitwear aims to express form through structure rather than mere visual decoration.

The design draws inspiration from the sand patterns found in *karesansui* (Japanese dry landscape gardens)—specifically the concept of using lines raked into the sand to represent the flow and expanse of water.

It references the linear pattern known as *sazanami* (ripples), which evokes a calm water surface.

These lines are rendered using a tightly knit, double-ribbed fabric structure.

By prioritizing a certain firmness over softness, the garment retains its sculptural, swaying silhouette.

The underlying construction is based on the Fisherman’s sweaters found across Britain during the 1960s.

Rather than a decorative fusion of disparate contexts, the design achieves a seamless structural integration.

The result is a crew-neck pullover.

It is available in two sizes—Large and Small—and is designed to be gender-neutral.

Using carefully selected raw cashmere,
the processes of dyeing, spinning, and twisting
are carried out by skilled Japanese artisans
to create a single, high-quality yarn.

This yarn possesses a rustic texture and rich loft,
resulting in a garment with a plump, voluminous look
and a soft, gentle feel against the skin.

While high-quality yarns are typically knitted delicately with fine needles,
we have knitted this specific yarn
using a dense, low-gauge "full cardigan" (double-rib) stitch.

Knitting densely with coarser needles creates deep, raised ribs,
producing the distinctive "broom-stroke" texture unique to this style.
The resulting fabric has a supple, smooth quality
that settles comfortably against the skin.

【Care Instructions】

This item is suitable for hand-washing at home.
Please also check the product's care label.
*If you are unsure about washing it yourself, please consult a professional dry cleaner experienced in handling knitwear.

Prepare a large basin filled with water at a temperature of 30°C (86°F) or lower.

Dissolve the recommended amount of liquid neutral detergent (suitable for delicates), turn the knitwear inside out, submerge it, and wash gently by pressing down on it.
*Avoid rubbing, scrubbing, or twisting the fabric.

Change the water to a fresh batch at the same temperature and volume, and rinse by pressing gently as before. Repeat this process 2–3 times until no more soap bubbles appear.

Drain the water and gently press the garment to remove excess moisture without wringing it. Then, fold it into quarters and place it inside a laundry net that fits the folded size.

Use a delicate cycle on your washing machine (such as "Dry" or "Hand-wash" mode) to perform a spin-dry cycle for only 60–90 seconds. Spinning for too long may cause the garment to lose its shape.

Reshape the garment carefully and lay it flat on a drying net in a well-ventilated, shaded area to dry. *If you are concerned about wrinkles or shrinkage, turn the item inside out and gently reshape it using a low-temperature iron with a pressing cloth.
