“Play vest” with MUSO sleeves vfl

A short-sleeved shirt jacket featuring a distinctive front panel construction.

Referencing the shape of parts designed to protect the bodies of string instruments,

this is adopted for the front panel as a body-covering structure.

It is based on the idea of protecting the body as a surface,

rather than as mere decoration.

The sleeves incorporate the "musou-sode" (double-layered sleeve) structure seen in traditional Japanese attire.

The design allows for changes in appearance and movement due to the overlapping fabric inside and out.

It is composed by combining different elements

within a range that is not contradictory to its intended use.

For sewing, one craftsman completes all processes, from cutting to finishing,

without dividing the steps.
